Painting A Work Of Art

Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together.
~ John Ruskin ~

Finger tips swirled flowers of violet and the gentle press of the side of his thumb was just the right touch for leaves to climb the stems as Aiden challenged himself towards his self-set goal of painting in the art studio.

Kate explores with lines and layers.
Aryanna's vibrant rainbow adorns her happy self portrait.
Laila joyfully expresses her interpretation of Spring flowers.
Leah paints a garden of growing hearts.

Sean shows near and far with the use of size as he paints his summertime scene.

Hearts are used to show love and happiness in Kate's painting.

She adds details of ground, grass, sky and sun...
...and a personal touch.
Sienna is inspired by Aryanna's rainbow and the welcome warmth of a Spring day!

Much time was spent on this masterpiece. A clear statement of 'I am here! I am me!"
Coloured handprints are carefully placed,
hand is washed,
a new colour is applied to the palm and each finger,
then coloured handprints are carefully placed again.
This technique was repeated several times until the artist decided
this masterpiece was complete.

On any given day in our open art studio.
